Buy our Produce
We are dedicated to feeding our community fresh produce grown with love on Rugged Roots Farm June-October.
To purchase our veggies, fruit, flowers, and herbs, visit our farm stand during the season open Tuesdays 5pm-7pm, stop by our Honor System Fridge open 7am-7pm daily, or check out our booth at the Quincy Farmers Market.
Tuesday Evening Farmstands
Rugged Roots farms' Tuesday Evening farm stands are community events, occurring mid June through early October every Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm. Shop freshly harvested produce or enjoy u-pick berries and flowers when available. Check our events calendar to see if anything is going on at a farm stand.
Our Honor System Fridge is open mid-June through mid-October and stocked with fresh produce. Simply drive up anytime during daylight hours, grab what you want, jot down the produce you got and prices (marked in the fridge) in our farmstand binder, pay, and you’re good to go!

Ways to Pay
We gladly accept cash, local check, Venmo, and Farm Bucks!
What are Farm Bucks? Farm Bucks are an upfront payment that gives you 1:1 credit at the farm for all produce, flowers, and events. Available in amounts from $100 to $500 this early season payment helps cover costs as we start growing and before farm income is rolling in.
We offer free and reduced farm bucks to any low-income community members, veterans, and/or anyone who is food insecure. Learn more here.

Early season payments help us cover costs we incur as we start growing and before farm income is rolling in. Plus, there’s a personal bonus for shopping early– when you purchase Farm Bucks before May 1st you receive an additional 5% in Farm Bucks (ex. Spend $100, get $105 in FBs).
-
Farm Bucks are available for purchase yearly beginning in March for the following season. Farm Bucks act as 1:1 credit for Rugged Roots farm produce throughout the season (June-October).
-
Farm Bucks can be used at the Honor System Fridge located onsite, the Tuesday Evening Farm Stand, and at the LSFP booth at the Quincy Farmers Market. They can also be used for U-pick and at the Pumpkin Patch.
-
Farm Bucks can only be used to purchase produce or added-value products. They cannot be used to purchase merch, raffle tickets, or prepared food/drinks.
-
No. Farm Bucks are non-refundable and expire after the season during which you buy them. They do not roll over to the next season. All remaining balances become donations to the Lost Sierra Food project (a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization) and our community programs. Farm Bucks holders with remaining balances will be given a donation confirmation letter by the end of the calendar year.
-
During the same season, Farm Bucks can be transferred from one person to another but only once (to reduce administrative work).
-
Farm Bucks sales close in late June, however current Farm Bucks holders can add to their account at any time before October 1st.
-
Farm Bucks are tracked by the Lost Sierra Food Project. Farm Bucks holders may request a balance at any time via email at emma@lostsierrafoodproject.org. LSFP staff will email Farm Bucks holders in the months of July, August, and September with balance updates. In addition, starting in July, Farm Bucks balances will be available at the Tuesday Farm Stand (just ask).
Farm Bucks FAQs
I bought Farm Bucks…
“For the ease of it. I can stop at the garden whenever I need to, and I don't have to have cash on me, and it's just easy.”
“So that Lost Sierra could have money in the spring to buy things. And so I could shop all summer, spring and fall and not have to have money with me.”
“To support the farm. And to get quality, fresh vegetables and fruits.”
